The Parkside Baptist Church is located in Mesquite, Texas which is a part of the Dallas metroplex. This great church has been a shining lighthouse of the Gospel and Christian growth for many generations. Its rich history is a testimony of God’s wonderful blessings. The church was founded as the Prairie Creek Bible Baptist Church by Dr. Martin May on October 15, 1980.

 

In October of 1984, Dr. Martin May was led of the Lord to retire. When Dr. May retired, the church called his son, Dr. Larry May, as their pastor. Under Dr. Larry May’s leadership the church relocated three times due to continued growth. Then through a chain of miraculous events, in February of 2005, the church moved to its current location. Situated right off of I-635 and Gross Road PBC is located beside one of the city’s most prestigious parks.

 

Parkside Baptist Church presently sits on a beautiful six-acre campus with 62,000 square feet of building space, an auditorium with a large seating capacity, over 50 Sunday school classes, and a full-size gymnasium.

On October 7, 2009, after over 25 years of faithful service as pastor, Dr. Larry May announced his retirement. On December 6, 2009 Parkside Baptist Church voted to call Dr. Mike Wells as their pastor. Since Dr. Wells has become pastor, Parkside Baptist Church has experienced tremendous growth and excitement.

 

Today, Parkside Baptist Church continues to be greatly used of God. Through the life changing teaching, preaching, and practical Christian living its members are enjoying the blessings of God.
